What I liked
As a former (forever?) emo girl, loved how Kelsey spoke to the powerful songs of that era and how they provided the soundtrack for some of her life’s most formative moments. She is as honest and raw as the songs that made us cry and as hilarious as some of the off-beat lyrics (yes, she does THAT Say Anything song) You’ll have to catch the show to see who opens it up but I couldn’t stop laughing and cheering!
What I didn't like
Some audio issues, but what rock n roll show doesn’t have?
My overall impression
The Moth meets live band karaoke, this nostalgia-fueled emo mixtape performed by the electrifying Kelsey Flynn proves she is a kick-ass front woman and heartfelt, hilarious storyteller.
