What I liked
I loved using the audience to create the meteor shower that killed the dinosaurs!!!! That was so cool. All the costumes—the Russian doll effect of turning from an amoeba to a (money) tree to a dinosaur to an ape—and then watching that ape learn to stand upright just had me in stitches.
What I didn't like
idk, I keep wanting to see characters sing but I’m obv biased.
My overall impression
I saw Soft Animal at Fringe last year and I loved it then. But oh my goodness how it’s grown. Soft Animal is a wonderful survey of the entire history of life on earth, and yet somehow it’s deeply personal. George is an impeccable clown and comedian. They make me laugh with their LAUGH! George’s character work, silly sounds, and shapeshifting demonstrate such skill and deftness with an ability to flow as the show is shaped by the audience.
