What I liked
George. The human behind the mask. Clowning is the bravest of art forms and George does it with grace and mastery. He brings us into his world with gentle play, and we all leave wanting to be his best friend!
My favorite part was the story about his niece and how much love he had for her! “Why can’t I give that to myself” Ahhh! A reminder to love ourselves more.

My overall impression
George says what all of us soft animals feel. Being a human, being an artist is god damn vulnerable! He puts his insecurities on display in this beautiful exploration of self in a magically playful clown show. His self doubts come to life through the evolution of animals and his self criticizing characters. It is personal it is universal. We are all just soft animals evolving and doing our best. His through line of “we are allowed” hit me hard! We are allowed to be here, and do what we love, even when we doubt it. I giggled, I screamed, I cried. I felt seen as a human and artist.
