As an anthropology major I loved the idea and thought it was so fun to see what a clown performer would choose. Silly, heartfelt, and vulnerable.
What I didn't like
I loved his exploration of the nonverbal beings that evolved until modern humans and want even more! It would be fun if we saw the stages of humanity broken down and evolve so we see how our own species grows and develops. It could be interesting to see that as a contrast to when George becomes vulnerable and shares his own struggles and his own “evolution.”
My overall impression
I didn’t think I would feel so deeply at a clown show. George takes us on a journey of life and then highlights his own journey of being an artist. A powerful show filled with physical humor and an artist’s vulnerability. George is present the entire time and does a great job of balancing the silly with the serious.
