Vanlyfe allowed me to deeper understand the complexity and emotional labor it takes to be in a situation where you have become unhoused or apart of the LGBTQIA community. How people who are scared and alone find family in others in a parallel situation. It was heart warming. ... full review

Vanlyfe is a love letter to the power of the human spirit. There is such a strong sense of community bursting through the cracks. The authenticity in this show is undeniable. Go see Vanlyfe if you want to feel the vibrant heartbeat of the hungry and experience the absolute joy in the unshakeable kindness of marginalized individuals.... full review

This show depicted the harsh reality of being unhoused & dealing with mental health struggles with rawness & levity. It was a beautiful story about community that people who have never experienced homelessness should take notes from if they want to help their unhoused neighbors. A moving, heartening experience that doesn't use stereotypes or tropes to get the point across that we're all closer to the edge of being unhoused than we may think.... full review

A show is truly special when it can change your perspective and how you choose to live your life moving forward. Vanlyfe has shown the humanity in people we see on the streets who we might swiftly walk by and never look into their eyes. I felt moved by all of the characters’ stories and motivations, and I want to be able to extend that same empathy to my often-overlooked neighbors. ... full review

Vanlyfe is an absolute triumph. A masterpiece. I was completely and utterly blown away by this show. The writing, the acting, the immersive experience of the actual, real-life van and tents they performed in, everything was so well thought-out and carefully curated. This show BURSTS with heart and the earnest message of how important it is to take care of each other. With the current state of the world, and the current state of Los Angeles and the homelessness crisis, this show is a must-see for all. I left this show changed, and have recommended it to everyone I've come across since seeing it. ... full review

Vanlyfe was moving, hilarious, poignant, and needed beyond words. The parking lot venue choice was spot on and put us right in the middle of "the scene of the crime", as the cast paused for road rage, random street shouting, and loud music at times. I was incredibly moved by the interactive aspects of the show, including the ritual of sharing food throughout to demonstrate the community nature that unhoused people display so well. I learned so much about an experience that I have been fortunate enough not to experience (so far), and I am very grateful to the entire team for opening up their hearts so hospitably with this show.... full review
