What I liked
The story, the characters, the message, the world, the acting, the writing.
I am not kidding when I say this the best theater I have seen in a while. When I met some of the creative forces behind this show several months ago, I knew I would like this show based on their pitch, and who they all are as wonderful people, but this really has rocked my world to see great people making great art. I can’t wait to see where this goes next, and you bet I will be their biggest fangirl following along.
What I didn't like
The elephant in the room is that we all hope we can be inside watching it! Though I do love how the performance in a parking lot in the blazing sun with lots of noisy passersby really added to the experience and fully immersed us in this world. I will probably miss it when they’re in an air-conditioned theater for their next iteration :)
My overall impression
Genuinely the best show of Hollywood Fringe. I am dead inside, but this made me cry. Twice. Performances and writing were absolutely outstanding. This piece of art will remain with me. It is stuck in my soul. This is what all theater and storytelling should be.
