I loved this show immensely. Loved the immersive elements. Really felt like I was in a homeless encampment living this under-explored reality. At the end of the show they passed out hygiene kits and encouraged the audience not just to give them to a homeless person but to have a conversation with them. That’s what this show is about, the beauty of human generosity and connection.
What I didn't like
The audience could be bigger. Go see it.
My overall impression
Vanlyfe is a love letter to the power of the human spirit. There is such a strong sense of community bursting through the cracks. The authenticity in this show is undeniable. Go see Vanlyfe if you want to feel the vibrant heartbeat of the hungry and experience the absolute joy in the unshakeable kindness of marginalized individuals.
