What I liked
Easter egg jokes for fans of vampire fiction ("Wrenfield Adoption Agency, renting an apartment from "Carmilla).
What I didn't like
Defeat of the antagonist was too easy.
Final revelation about our protagonist undermines much of what we know about her. Presumably we are supposed to accept this as part of the show’s comedy, but it makes her previous behavior somewhat inexplicable.
My overall impression
The show gets a fair amount of comic mileage out of a deliberately overbaked premise. It’s not enough that the orphan reunited with her birth family has to explain that she is now a trans-woman; she’s also a vampire! Which will her family have a harder time accepting?
