What I liked
I loved the originality of the story: while it has an important message centered around trans visibility and social acceptance, family and friendship – it doesn’t hit you over the head with it. Instead, it plays with different genres – from musical to fantasy to comedy – to tell a deeply personal tale that is accessible to all ages. Craftily concocted by talented scribes and performers Veronica Carey Matthews, Cherise Pascual and Kevin Neighbors – The Transpiring is not to be missed!
What I didn't like
The world created deserves to live on in form of a TV show or feature film!
My overall impression
I don’t remember having as much fun in the theater as I did watching The Transpiring! The writing is funny, authentic and heartfelt. Topped with catchy lyrics and engaging performances, big laughs dominated the entire show.
