What I liked
This was my first time seeing a one-woman show and I’m so glad it was Maria’s! It was so great, I had to go see it one (and a half!) times!
What I didn't like
I loved seeing Maria interact with the audience and would always welcome seeing her do more of that! And more raw eggs. Definitely.
My overall impression
The Iditarod is an absolute gem! Teresa’s journey was a powerful narrative of endurance, love, loss, self-discovery, and adventure. The complexities of the relationship with her mom sends the audience on an emotional roller coaster that is both relatable and striking. Teresa single-handedly moves through this show with more energy than a team of huskies on Red Bull! Her wittiness and impeccable timing, even in the middle of the Alaskan wilderness, is a testament to Maria’s artistic genius!
