What I liked
The Immaculate Grid was an impressive new feature.
What I didn't like
It all worked, but what I’d like to see is Brett pushing himself even more, like say, rattling off all of the batting champions in order of ascending batting average, something to hammer home that as much of a baseball savant as we think he is, he has got an even deeper well of knowledge.
My overall impression
One could argue that the most impressive part of the show is the depth and breadth of Brett’s baseball knowledge. And it would be a valid argument. For me, the core of this show is the love story. Brett lays his passion bear for all the world to see. Very few have loved anything as much as Brett loves baseball, and Batter Up! is a love for the ages.
