What I liked
Rachel Troy is an incredible character actor, and her transformation from baby to woman was jaw-dropping. I’ve seriously been telling all my friends about the show and how daringly well-performed it was! The baby persona is so unnerving, it gets the point across incredibly well. I loved watching the audience members pulled on stage feel so uncomfortable as they played along, and I laughed hysterically every time she moved between baby and Rachel to give the audience instructions.
What I didn't like
I perhaps would have liked a nudity warning. I absolutely LOVED the symbolism of it and thought it was an INCREDIBLE performance choice. I just would have liked to know beforehand in an opening announcement or something similar that I was about to experience it.
My overall impression
BABY was triggering, healing, and hilarious all at the same time. This show came just at the perfect time for me, and it connected a lot of dots in my brain for my own life that I shared at my next therapy appointment. I love how Rachel blended humor with psychology, and her bravery as a performer is something I look up to. Every part of the show was important and taught me something, with no fillers or dead time.
