I can’t believe I cried from a human caring for a cardboard cutout. This show is so complex and yet so simple. The structure reflects the content as baby becomes iterations of different generations and learns to care for herself, as any parent hopes for a child. I’m so proud of Rachel and can’t wait to see what she comes up with next.
What I didn't like
Nah.
My overall impression
I laughed so hard I cried until I cried. I’ve watched this show grow from even babier and I’m in awe every time I see it. Baby is a love letter to moms, to anyone with a mom or a mom-like figure, to artists struggling with choosing their art, and to therapists. Somehow Rachel took a scientific theory that’s become somewhat popularized and taught us about it through showing and telling, effortlessly demonstrating not just what attachment theory is but how it works and how we can heal.
