The show is beautifully staged, incredibly well-performed, the scenic design is impeccable, and Miller-Fisher is a joy to watch on stage.
What I didn't like
I wish it had been longer!
My overall impression
Miller-Fisher has written something incredibly special. Equal parts moving and funny – and to be clear, this show was really, really funny – this show could’ve easily gone the way of Jenette McCurdy’s 2022 memoir, I’m Glad My Mom Died, but manages to carve its own lane within an already-niche genre. Miller-Fisher manages to encapsulate the difficult feelings one has when losing a difficult parent, a topic she manages to handle with delicacy and welcome brass.
