Actors were excellent at keeping the pace going and had great timing. Navigating a topic like “cancel culture” is very difficult to do without putting a bad taste in your mouth, the writer was able to avoid that unpleasant feeling. Suck My Tongue suck-seeds at uncovering new avenues regarding the topic as well as juggling its many dynamic perspectives. The actors give fantastic performances. It’s one of those things where the performances are so strong and convincing, it feels impossible to consider that these are different people outside of the play.
What I didn't like
Sometimes there were issues with projection. It being a play that is primarily conversation, it was important that the dialogue popped. However, this was something that didn’t take too much away from the experience.
My overall impression
Suck My Tongue pulls you in with an enticing premise then delivers. Witty dialogue, strong performances, and lots to think about. Do not miss this one!
