What I liked
Katelyn Schiller’s work is always can’t-miss. She is an immensely gifted, intensely compassionate and beautifully humane artist. “Murder Blood Bear Story Part 2” is a vital showcase of her beating heart and a call to explore the world as she uniquely sees it. The rare human with the capacity to invite us into a new way of experiencing what we think is the well-worn landscape of our emotional life in unexpected and life-affirming ways, she truly is an artist from another realm. Do yourself a favor and let her teach you to speak her language for an hour. It will leave you nourished, refreshed and reinvigorated to continue exploring the wilds of your own emotional terrain.

Sweet, funny, frightening and ultimately deeply moving, Katelyn Schiller’s “Murder Blood Bear Story Part 2” is a work so poetic, tactile, surprising and singular, it accesses an emotional language so uncommonly rich and primal that the only proper response is to allow yourself to bathe in its otherworldly and achingly empathetic aura.
