What I liked

The show never felt like someone talking AT the audience; it felt like you were having a conversation with Aaron. The hour flew by quickly, and did not lag at all during the time.
The show was balanced and well-timed; the darker moments always resolved in a bit of a laugh, even if the audience wasn’t sure if they SHOULD laugh.
The cookies were delicious, and a nice touch.

What I didn't like

I’m sure there were many things that had to be cut for time; I knew why Aaron baked cookies, but I don’t think most of the audience had a point of reference that he was a restaurant own and chef, and had professional training.

My overall impression

There are some comedy shows that are just good, dumb fun. This is not one of those shows. It will make you laugh, yes, but will also challenge you to laugh in the face of some really dark shit. Because that is exactly how many of us get through this thing called life… we find the humor in the toughest times.

Aaron Foster effortlessly leads the audience through his life story, the ups, the downs, the good and the bad, all with a wry sense of humor. You come away not feeling like you’ve watched a show; more like you have spent an hour with a new friend at the corner bar as he pours his heart and deepest secrets out. And you may just come away from that hour with a different perspective on life, and feeling a bond to the guy. And that is a good thing. His story will surprise you. I heard the audience gasp more than once.

This is storytelling at its finest, and Aaron is expert at making you laugh along with him. You will be challenged, but that is a good thing. Aaron is a thinking, feeling guy and makes sure the audience is right in there with him. He is raw and unfiltered, which is his greatest strength. The audience never feels like he is holding back or censoring his life story; he is telling it as he lived it, warts and all.

Also, when was the last time you saw a show and the creator and star baked cookies for everyone?!
