The use of taking the audience into Eloise’s mind to reveal what is happening is highly effective.

My overall impression
What a powerful story from Starr Shapiro. Trying to get a handle on one’s own mental struggles is exhausting enough. Adding in grief (a huge trigger for those struggles) and family (yup, that adds another trigger) make this a compelling view of the lies our brain tells us and how hard it is to quiet them.
