I liked how Phillip wove in and out of the children’s books and blended life stories. Adding Timmy, his third-grade stage manager, was clever.
I also liked how he passed out pins, in a fish tank, with information about the show.
The show itself to the pins, his flyer, the set, and his wardrobe. Every detail was well thought out.
What I didn't like
I was able to attend the last show, he may have sold out, or perhaps Frindge didn’t allow this, but I would have liked to have purchased his book at the show so I could have gone home with an autographed copy. That would have made for a cool souvenir.
My overall impression
Prepare to laugh and be thoroughly entertained by Phillip Reilly in Lessons from Children’s Books! Phillip blends humor with heart in a delightful way. With clever storytelling and a charming stage presence, it’s an enjoyable evening of theater that’s sure to bring smiles.
