What I liked
Phil is an expert comedian, taking on the stories we were all told as kids and holding up a mirror to how many red flags we all ignored. Phil casts us as the child audience to his elementary school book tour and then subverts our expectations by talking about deeply adult subjects and perspectives, all while peppering in tons of jokes ranging from silly to biting.

My overall impression
This show is hilarious and touching. Phil is a fantastic comedian, actor and writer. Lessons takes you on a journey through your childhood library and points out everything wrong with what you were taught — and there’s a lot!
