Her writing, her beautiful voice and the way she guides us through her story. Her subtle and poignant humor.
What I didn't like
In all honesty, it is so deeply a female identifying story and I think it needs to be held tenderly be a female identifying director.
There is so much rage in the bottling of our intuition as women and female-identifying folks and I wanted her to completely trust herself and let it out all out, to truly leave it all on the stage. In order to do that, we must feel safe and supported.
Elli is incredibly talented, but I could sense a small part of her holding back. With time and continued performances, this may naturally evolve.
I think the director did their best, but I believe this show would be better served with more empowering direction, with a director who can honor the divine feminine and guide Elli to embrace her full power unapologetically.
Nothing is more sacred than honoring our intuition and her voice could be better supported in this show.

My overall impression
Elli is a compelling writer and storyteller and I thoroughly enjoyed witnessing her powerful journey from such a heartbreaking year that taught her so much. I was rooting for her to revel in the power of her intuition and to keep unlearning what she absorbed as a child.
