What I liked

Christopher’s congeniality and soulfulness, his humor and insights around Ecuadorian culture, the raw and unpretentious nature of Dad, and many of the unscripted moments!

What I didn't like

I would like the memorabilia to be better organized (but still looking a little scattered) so Christopher can directly move to specific areas/boxes at various points in the story, rather than spending time searching around the stage.

My overall impression

I’ve never seen a show where a son shares the stage with his biological father and much of the dynamic is unscripted, raw and authentic! It was quickly apparent that father and son have inhabited two different worlds, not just in personality, temperament and language but also literally, as they were once estranged. They have now reunited to mine through their messy relationship right in front of us, in a loosely scripted format in real time. I applaud Christopher for his uniquely intimate approach to exploring some challenging family issues. A gutsy performance!
