I liked having Christopher’s Father on stage to help tell the story of this often estranged Father-Son relationship. Love and the need to be part of a family are indeed universal themes, despite any language barrier.
What I didn't like
I found myself distracted by the number of cardboard boxes on stage used as set pieces and the general disarray of all the props and boxes at the end, but I guess that is the point, that life is messy sometimes and with it comes a lot of baggage.
My overall impression
Completely original story-telling style. Part stand-up, part story-telling, part audience participation, all parts heartfelt and memorable.
