The fact that he had his father on stage! He wasn’t just talking about his relationship with his father, but his father was there to not only fill the picture for the audience, but also give us a real look into their complicated, messy, beautiful relationship.
What I didn't like
Nothing! I loved every single second of it, and the simplicity of the set and minimal lights made the story even more real.
My overall impression
Impactful. Real. Emotional. Heartbreaking. Funny. This solo-ish show is such a beautiful, raw, genuine experience that Christopher gifts to the audience. It truly is a gift, as the audience gets to witness, in front of their eyes, the relationship between a father and a son unfold and develop. What a raw thing it is to see, live, as they work through their real-life struggles. Christopher is a beautiful storyteller, and has such a deep, real, vulnerable presence on stage.
