No Sabo (formerly “Habla y te Salvas: True Stories of a No Sabo Kid from Queens & his Guayaco Dad”)

What I liked

I loved that his father was actually in the room. I loved the humor of the storytelling, the revealing truths, the experience of growing up in Queens, NY as an Ecuadorian-American and not really speaking Spanish but wanting to connect with a distant father. It hit home & highly recommend it.

My overall impression

I cried. I laughed. I gawked in awe. The authenticity and guts it takes to tell this story about your own father is unbelievable. To do it in front of him? Absolutely insane. And makes for incredible entertainment and nourishing storytelling. Thank you Christopher for making this show! Go see it!
