What I liked

I loved how his father was just himself onstage. I loved the way Christopher engaged the audience. I loved the set design. I could go on and on and on.

What I didn't like

There weren’t enough audience members. Everyone should see this.

My overall impression

A series of vignettes told with and about his father, Christopher’s show is the epitome of beautiful storytelling. To be so vulnerable on stage is immensely brave and I cannot emphasize how absolutely moving it is to watch a father-son relationship move and grow onstage in real time. As a Mexican-American, the unapologetic use of Spanish made me feel seen for one of the first times ever in a piece of media. There is no one universal story, but this story universally needs to be told.
