My passion has always been in the arts. Even though I have been an artist since I was young, it wasn’t until I was in my thirties that I realized and accepted, that an artist is who I am. I feel art is all around us, and in everything I see, hear and do. It is how I interpret the world I live in.
I received my education and training in filmmaking and screenwriting and thought that was the career path I would take. But one fateful summer about ten years ago I was smitten. I had never seen a Shakespeare play when I was hired as an audio engineer on an LA production of “As You Like It.” I learned that many aspects of theatre production encompass the arts I love. So my journey into theatre began there.
I have had many life-altering experiences throughout my life and have been fortunate to be exposed to many different cultures, to travel and to meet many fascinating people from around the world. These life experiences have shaped me, and I will bring those experiences to my performance.
A few years before the craft of acting was ever on my radar as a career option, I had started working on ideas for a one person show. Some of my skillsets in the visual arts include painting, drawing (in several mediums), sculpting, photography and filmmaking and I also create music. As a writer I simply enjoy telling stories about people in all genres and periods. With the skillsets I have there are endless possibilities for me to experiment with on the stage.
