Lily took three stories of desi childhood and transported them to a magic real setting complete with fairies, talking fishes, and an enchanted bakery. And together, we cried gems, baked some yummy desserts, and swam our way to a record number of aquatic glory. In other words, a rather fun evening in the theatre. But, Lily also understands desi politics, a little too well perhaps. And therefore, don’t think that this piece was just a fairy tale reminiscing bygone childhood. It deftly swam in and out of the political reality of being a South Asian young person in ... full review

Here's the thing, this woman is a courageous actress. This story is personal, the audience senses that from the beginning. And Abha takes us by the hand as she introduces us to one character after the other in a playful, empathetic and human way. She helps remind us that everyone has a story, we're all around the campfire sharing, and it's important that we never let go of them. ... full review
