Such an array of characters, moods, and energies. I never knew what was coming next, but it all connected so well and served a central theme that kept growing. Emily does a fantastic job of bringing us into her fears and understanding how they form. Even though I’m not afraid of v***t, I related to how my own childhood experiences stick with me to this day. (Also the single most cohesive color palette at the festival)
What I didn't like
Nothing!
My overall impression
Emily makes crippling anxiety adorable and funny in a hilarious one-woman show that explores what it means to be afraid. Emily is a great performer who has constructed a show that is uniquely her! It walks the line between absurdity and poignant and does so with great skill.
