Well, this was definitely an experience. From start to finish, I felt immersed in a roller coaster ride through Siders' emotional psyche. The combination of music, sound, lighting design, Siders' scenes and conversations with friends and family (or perhaps vignettes? apologies on my technical ignorance) all blended together to form a very evocative demonstration of heart, sorrow, and coping. I'm not the most experienced independent theatre patron, but I definitely haven't seen many productions on this scale from Fringe, so hats off to everyone involved in making this collaboration possible.
Ultimately, while I commend the show's singing, musicality, conducting, and overall production value, I have the faint suspicion that this show is/wa...

Very first play I’ve ever been to, and you set the bar very very high Chris. Thank you and your entire crew that made this happen. Such a roller coaster of emotions watching this. I know you and your crew put alot of time and effort into making sure every little detail was spot on. Will definitely recommend, and will definitely watch again.

Through the intersectionality of the traumas a Black, queer man experiences in life, Siders bares vulnerability and rawness, loading the audience on an emotional ride through grief, pain, love, loss, and toxicity through music, dance, and vignettes. The music was of excellent composition with a stellar live band and singers in this hip-hop musical. The content is weighty, and you should be forewarned to prepare yourself to bear the weight of Sider's content. ...

Silhouettes of Scarlet is a very raw and honest autobiographical journey of James’s relationships including his love for family and partners. Great storytelling that comes to a satisfying conclusion, all of which is succinctly accompanied by songs that do not hide the points they’re trying to make. ...

Chris Siders and the Silhouettes company are extremely passionate about what they're doing, and it shows. Everyone in this show gives their 100% from start to finish. I thought Kyle did a great job leading the band. This show is incredibly ambitious - there are actors, a dance troupe, singers, and a band, with many moving parts that make this show a big beast to tackle. Congrats to the whole Silhouettes company for giving it all and making it happen. ...
