What I liked
The interplay between the music and the rap was very unique and intriguing. The setting and the musicians created an almost noir-ambient vibe to the music that stood in stark contract to the expressive rap that was out over it – a powerful combination!
What I didn't like
It seemed to me as though there weee some technical problems with the audio equipment (consistent mic scratching, some mics seemed to not have worked)
My overall impression
Silhouettes of Scarlet is a very raw and honest autobiographical journey of James’s relationships including his love for family and partners. Great storytelling that comes to a satisfying conclusion, all of which is succinctly accompanied by songs that do not hide the points they’re trying to make.
