What I liked

The story has familiar enough beginnings (a young person seeks divine aid to return home), but it quickly branches-off in unexpected and imaginative directions. And, more importantly, when it asks difficult questions (which it does often) it does not offer a simple platitude for answer. I enjoyed the use of screens to back-project God for most of the show and the projected landscapes were whimsical and lovely. The actors kept the outrageous situations feeling grounded and the heavy moments from being too soul-crushing. I enjoyed the performances , especially from the actors playing God.

My overall impression

A fairy-tale of grief and loss; a show that is not afraid to pose the question that the Almighty might be just as flawed and fallible as Creation. A story of finding hope and connection in hopeless, desperate circumstances. There is also a pretty cool snail-shell.
