What an entertaining, and fun musical. What do you do to help navigate the layered family dynamics... sing it out! I mean, why not?! You will really enjoy the well written songs that helped pushed the story along. The songs added comedy and heart felt moments to the scenes. Even if you're not a big musical fan, you'll enjoy the comedy that the music numbers provide. Go see it!... full review

Better Off Without You navigates a topic we often forget about in creative outlets: what happens when a family goes through the process of adjusting to mental health changes in elder family members -- and how to prepare for both the best and the worst, and it succeeds in its humor, candor, and the show's personality itself. Ultimately, we grow to love and know that it cannot be done alone, and it is truly a family effort.... full review

This was a great show. The actors were casted perfectly and they conveyed the story exquisitely. The story was well written & incorporated elements of comedy, drama and melodrama. The musical pieces were well written and so catchy that I haven't been able to stop singing "bunny"... "so funny" all through the last week. The ending was so heartwarming and relatable that I found myself tearing up. If you want a show that can keep you engaged, make you laugh , cry (through both funny and heartfelt moments) all in the span of 30 minutes then you should absolutely get tickets to this show.... full review

"Better off with You" is a total blast! it’s a wholesome musical which is both touching and laugh-out-loud funny! Watching the characters come together, embrace each other, and become a united family was both hilarious and heartwarming. The musical is super well-written, capturing the crazy, wonderful essence of family life. The songs are catchy, I left the theater humming “bunny”. The mix of humor and heart is perfect. "Better off with You" is a relatable and entertaining musical!... full review

A largely-estranged family is forced to challenge their individual points-of-view and concepts of reconciliation in this moving, loving, and insightful musical. Reckoning with one's relationship with parents - absent or present - is an undeniably painful and confusing milestone of adulthood, and the rewards can be as surprising as the revelations. Ashley's story is relatable and heartfelt, taking us through the ups and downs of an author's attempts to finish her book while she and her brother piece together their mother's situation and figure out who needs to take care of whom. These actors play their characters with love, and that love echoes back into the story - while the music and lyrics provide context, well-placed cues, and callbacks. ... full review

This is a gorgeous show. I arrived expecting to laugh (and I did laugh, continuously)--but I wasn't expecting to cry! Got seriously emotional thinking about my grandmother and, separately, about my relationships with each of my siblings. My sunscreen ran everywhere. I NEED to see the extended version of this.... full review

The show was well thought out and really touched on a topic that is very real but largely unspoken. The cast was incredible especially the actress that portrayed Phoenix! ... full review

I thought the writing, composition, and direction in this show was absolutely superb! I really love the voice of the writers and couldn’t believe they’d created something so fun yet poignant in such a short amount of time. I would love to see it expanded into a full musical or a movie-musical!... full review
