I loved Krystle’s powerful performance. It was deeply moving and authentic. She was poignant one moment and funny the next. I loved how she called patriarchy, convention and colonialism into question through the pathos of her character Baby. I loved her singing. I loved that everything was perfectly placed and thought out. I loved the script and the wrenching depiction of grief.
What I didn't like
Sometimes I understood the words that were written on the wall perfectly with what was happening on stage – other times, it was lost on me – but this did not take from my enjoyment of the show one iota.
My overall impression
My general impression of the show was that it was made with love. It was a beautiful exploration of the meaning of so many things and the artist shared them deeply.
