A fascinating look at the many different roles women play (often simultaneously, on their own) and where those expectations come from - society, religion, family, culture, ourselves. With so many demands and emotions, it's easy to see how this character struggles and how she works to convince not just her guest but herself that everything is fine. ...

I was so impressed with Krystle's courage. She put herself out there completely exposed. She seemed so comfortable and natural. It was wonderful to see her like that....

Brilliant and moving. This was the most present and undistracted I have been in a while. I was absolutely captivated by Krystle's performance (both singing and acting). Her ability to emote was so clear and authentic. I cried at least five times throughout the hour-long performance! There is so much to learn about the experience of being a mother, an immigrant, a sister, a human being, from this show, and leaves one with the desire for it to be a longer show! I felt changed watching this! Brava!...

I couldn't take my eyes off of Krystle, she was mesmerizing and a beautiful dichotomy of softness and powerful. She carried such a wide range of emotions and instilled all these emotions for me and the audience. It was an amazing show with a heart-felt story. Wonderful job!...

Moving and reflective, Space Exploration shook me and left me crying at the beautiful haunting story of trying to figure out life deep in grief and loss and trying to raise a child in the middle of all of that. The way our parents habits become ours and our childrens, how our culture and religion affect not just parenting but everything around us. I cannot reccomend this show enough. Please go see this wonderful show if uou have the chance....

A thought provoking meditation on MUCH more than only space exploration! I entered without much background and an open mind, and ended up fascinated with the world Krystle deftly draws. Her performance is funny at times and moving at others, and left me with a lot to think about. ...

What an out of this world way to capture the struggles of being a woman and the isolation that can come with motherhood. When you see Space Exploration, you will be hit with compassion for a character who so clearly yearns for what is beyond the expectations placed on women as homemakers and career-oriented feminists. What Krystle does so well is embody a flawed woman who is white knuckling her way through everything she believes she should be doing and asking all the right questions for both herself and her daughter. You will walk away with much to think about regarding cultural and societal pressures placed on women that we have almost become numb to in everyday life....

My general impression of the show was that it was made with love. It was a beautiful exploration of the meaning of so many things and the artist shared them deeply. ...

Space Exploration is a journey inward as much as outward. It builds its metaphors slowly, carefully, and gradually reveals the psychic and emotional costs of colonialism in the space of one woman’s life. Gorgeous work....

From the opening moment when she sang in her lovely voice, evoking loneliness, I was drawn in; this and her humor along with her outbreaks of anger and frustration created a story of a woman I think we’d all feel for. The fact that we got to know the historical background of life in the Philippines enhanced the experience....
