What I liked
Maddie knows how to write a hook, and some of the songs will have you singing along while you experience raw vulnerability and pure yearning, while an occasional song will intentionally revel in dissonance, almost as if to slice away the parts of you that aren’t authentic. You will not see another show like this one. Go now!

My overall impression
This is what Fringe is about: a fiercely individual work from a passionate artist. “Rectangles” is like if Laurie Anderson and Jane Siberry wrote a musical inspired by the last season of “Search Party”. It’s funny, wild, and sometimes menacing and unsettling in the best ways.
