What I liked
The puppets are an absolute highlight, and the music and light production added so much. Most of all, Maddie herself is a vision in red, yellow, and blue. Rectangles is a must-see unique Fringe experience.
What I didn't like
Audio mixing could use some tweaks just to bring the mic volume up. We want to hear Maddie. But it didn’t take away from the experience.
My overall impression
Maddie Mutations has an artistic voice unlike any I’ve ever seen. I was captivated the entire time. As a recovering people pleaser, I thought… is this f*cking play about us? Yes.
