Are Rectangles Goat or Fish? GoatVsFish witnessed Rectangles to find an answer to this Versus. After much musications and colorful visualisations, we remain uncertain. More investigation is needed. What a pain in the posterior!...

Not me beaming and being completely charmed as Maddie sings about buttholes using puppets and haunting us with raw vocals that would make Björk blush…...

Many of our papa's games can now be played without flash. They are some of the most exciting management games you can find anywhere. We have all of Papa Louie's bakeries, sandwich shops, and food stands, like his pizza, salad stand, and taco shop. You can pick a worker from the list, or you can make your own character from scratch. You can make the fast food expert look like you, or you can make them look completely crazy. No matter who it is, they need to be able to get things done quickly!

Fiery! Electric! Silly! Fun! Rectangles shapes up to be everything I dreamed it would be—a twisty tour through the mind (and colon?) of brilliant, avant-garde darling, Maddie Mutations. It’s giving Bjorkian kindergarten teacher. If Yoko Ono and Marina Abramovic collab’d on a Dadaist pop album. Truly one-of-a-kind....

Maddie has a unique ability to make you laugh and cry and laugh again about life in every sense through something as simple and unserious as pooping. Rectangles is undoubtedly relatable as it bounces between joy and horror with Maddie leading the audience through life's many ordeals. ...

This is what Fringe is about: a fiercely individual work from a passionate artist. "Rectangles" is like if Laurie Anderson and Jane Siberry wrote a musical inspired by the last season of "Search Party". It's funny, wild, and sometimes menacing and unsettling in the best ways....

Maddie is such a lovable weirdo. This show is wholly unique, but somehow relatable. It's like a fun punk fever dream. I can see somebody not liking this show, but I wouldn't want to hang out with them....

a truly singular show from a truly singular mind, the meeting point of imagination, trauma, song, dance, and play. Maddie has created a show as relentless as her mind and her joy, finding a truly unique approach to surrealist body horror and to audience empathy, using literal building blocks to build surreal metaphors within narratives until knocking them down with blunt emotional truth and honesty. Hilarious, startling, and moving, Maddie has given us all a truly wonderful gift <3...

Maddie first pitched me the show as a “punk, clown performance-opera” and Rectangles exceeded even that by several adjectives. If you’re looking for the Fringe of Fringe and want to laugh your butt off (while pulling things out of it), there’s no other show even remotely like Rectangles. Rectangles is refreshing, silly, out-of-this-world, and yet somehow still riddled with vulnerability and scronches of honches!...
