If you're not planning to see Rectangles, you're wrong. The show was a beautifully genuine piece of absurdism. It was just so delightful and weird and true in a way that is hard to find. It doesn't take itself too seriously but seriously knows what it's about, which makes it disarming and comfortable enough to follow Maddie into some weird shit. Literally. AND OF COURSE, the beautifully produced soundscape that underscores the show was wonderfully transporti...

Maddie is an Artist with a capital A. She’s able to take a feeling and follow it into oblivion and turn it into an abstract experience. Rectangles has many layers of meaning behind the absurd dialogue, fun handcrafted props, and beautiful harmonies and music. If you like avant garde artists like Bjork, you will love this show!...

A rectangular, fun, absurd, and wonderfully musical journey! Maddie breathes so much life into her performance as a body-horror esque rectangle eating clown with digestion issues. Maddies music and vocal as well as acting range are incredible!...

Fiery! Electric! Silly! Fun! Rectangles shapes up to be everything I dreamed it would be—a twisty tour through the mind (and colon?) of brilliant, avant-garde darling, Maddie Mutations. It’s giving Bjorkian kindergarten teacher. If Yoko Ono and Marina Abramovic collab’d on a Dadaist pop album. Truly one-of-a-kind....

Maddie has a unique ability to make you laugh and cry and laugh again about life in every sense through something as simple and unserious as pooping. Rectangles is undoubtedly relatable as it bounces between joy and horror with Maddie leading the audience through life's many ordeals. ...
