What I liked
The story was so well-structured, and so deeply personal while also not being self-indulgent which is very hard to do. She was in service of her audience the whole time and was clearly there to tell us a story and make us feel something and learn something, which I certainly did. Also, without spoiling much…the dancer in me loved the opening and closing bits.

My overall impression
Jean is such a wonderful storyteller, with so much heart and humor infused into a very personal piece that she told with such simultaneous depth and ease. I hung onto every word! And she did it all with only herself and a chair on stage.
