Writer/Actor
Starr Shapiro is a Los Angeles-based writer and performer. Her play, OBSESSED, was produced on the Santa Monica Playhouse Main Stage in Fall 2023 and will be produced at the 2024 Hollywood Fringe Festival. In 2022, Starr was selected to be a member of the Echo Theater Company Los Angeles Young Playwrights Residency. In television, she has worked as a Writers’ Assistant on Netflix’s RANSOM CANYON and XO, KITTY, and was previously a TV Literary Assistant at Verve Talent and Literary Agency. She holds a BA in Theatre and Psychology from Columbia University, where she studied playwriting under Ellen McLaughlin, Andy Bragen, and Kathleen Tolan.
