About the Project

Cristina has lost her religion after sacrificing herself to sell too many hamburgers on TV. Witness as she faithfully struggles to piece her humanity back together in this hilarious remix of theater, stand-up, storytelling, and clown-part performance, part gloriously chaotic confession. Salud!

Godless summons you to play hide n’ seek with the divine and humbly kneel at the altar of the absurd, while Cristina confronts the humiliation that is living.

^{Cristina Fernandez (Writer/Performer) is a Puerto Rican born, L.A. based performer and writer. Her practice draws from various disciplines that include clown, stand up and dance to create joyful works built collectively alongside audiences. Cristina has performed and collaborated with Center Theater Group, Playwrights Horizon, Circle X Theater,  Los Angeles Performance Practice, Skirball Cultural Center, Public Assembly, Bootleg Theater, Hammer Museum, Miami Light Project, The Comedy Store, Laugh Factory, UCB, LTC Howlround’s Comedy Carnaval, LAX Festival and Radar LA. She holds an MFA in Acting from CalArts.}

^{Cleo DeOrio (Director) is a physical Theatre and Dance artist-teacher from Cleveland, Ohio. Cleo received a BA at Baldwin Wallace University, where she focused her studies in Directing and Choreography and an MFA from Dell’Arte International School of Physical Theatre, where she developed works such as Citizens of Nowhere and Visions of a Crying Girl. Cleo specializes in storytelling through movement, physical character development, emotional embodiment, and devising.}
