The intimacy with the audience that was felt during the entire show. I think many of us can relate to the process of losing a loved one and Natalie was able to take us through those emotions with grace.
What I didn't like
Nothing comes to mind
My overall impression
“I’ll Be With You in a Minute” is a captivating show about all the emotions we go through when a loved one is diagnosed with a disease, specifically a mother with early-onset Alzheimer’s. Natalie portrays the whole range from shock, anger, sadness, fear, and frustration to optimism, hope, and humor with an incredible sense of depth, honesty, and vulnerability. She has used some light-hearted moments to make for a very entertaining show that is also informative about the neurological aspects of Alzheimer’s. I especially enjoyed her showing the video of her as a young child with her Mom’s voice as it allows us a moment to feel the incredible love she grew up with. Natalie’s Mom would be incredibly proud of not only this show and her accomplishments, but of the courageous and strong woman she has become.
