The humor! The playfulness! The ease! The honesty! Really skillful storytelling and thematic painting.
What I didn't like
At one point the projector had a little goof where it said “the action cannot be completed.” Minor distraction but could probably be avoided!!
My overall impression
What a beautiful gift to us! Natalie is easy and playful in her exploration of this difficult topic. I’ll Be With You In A Minute orbits the heartbreaking reality of caring for a parent with dementia with surprising humor and coyness. Natalie’s emotional connection to this journey is clear, but isn’t the “main point.” She finds childlike joy even as we see the parent-child reversal happen before our very eyes. She finds hope mirrored back through the darkness. Highly, highly recommend treating yourself to this show.
