Natalie’s storytelling literally changed my brain chemistry. She skillfully weaves moments of levity with the harsh realities of saying goodbye to what we once knew our lives to be. The show takes you through a journey of navigating the layers to our identity that illness adds to and strips away from us. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll experience the rollercoaster of watching someone so precious to you slip through your fingers. The way Natalie portrays the multifaceted emotions associated with her mother’s diagnosis —fear, confusion, love, and hope—left me in awe. Her ability to convey such a wide range of feelings and memories on such a small stage is a testament to her talent and dedication. This is a tragicomedy, this is a memoir, this ... full review

I was overwhelmed by natalie’s performance. She exhibited such a wide range of emotions from joy to intense grief. She was playful and coquettish one moment and despairing the next. Her use of the stage was so creative with the massage, the pill bottles, her suitcase, the film etc. She brought an empty room to life. Her script was so descriptive and extended beyond the tragic situation with her mother to include her life. I was very moved by her performance and thought about it for days afterwards. ... full review

This show is so special. I was completely immersed in Natalie's world and didn't come out until the lights went up. Tackling such a painful, difficult topic with vulnerability, authenticity, humor, and heart is not an easy task. Natalie and the whole production team knocks it out of the park. ... full review

A stunning show! Beautifully written, acted, directed, composed and produced. I felt teary before it even started, but I also laughed lots too. Natalie's emotions have such scale and fluidity that propel the story forward. 85 minutes flew by! I was completely absorbed. I love this artist's brain. I'm a better person for having seen this show.... full review

“I’ll Be With You in a Minute” is a captivating show about all the emotions we go through when a loved one is diagnosed with a disease, specifically a mother with early-onset Alzheimer’s. Natalie portrays the whole range from shock, anger, sadness, fear, and frustration to optimism, hope, and humor with an incredible sense of depth, honesty, and vulnerability. She has used some light-hearted moments to make for a very entertaining show that is also informative about the neurological aspects of Alzheimer’s. I especially enjoyed her showing the video of her as a young child with her Mom’s voice as it allows us a moment to feel the incredible love she grew up with. Natalie’s Mom would be incredibly proud of not only this show and her accomplish... full review

I was totally blown away by this play. It is incredible. Natalie keeps you very focused and engaged the entire time. She takes on a really painful subject - losing her mom slowly to a terrible brain disease - and lets you cry as you feel her deep sadness but also gives you some release with her humor, so you can laugh deeply. The story of how this young woman is managing her feelings, her mom's health care, trying to still live a life of a young woman in her 20s gives you a lot of reflect on about the fragility of life and time and what it means to be human. ... full review

I'll Be With You In A Minute has restored my belief in the visceral necessity of live performance. The self-effacement with which Grove delivers what is otherwise a heartbreaking tale of that most sacred of bonds - parent & child, being stolen cruelly by an unrelenting, incurable disease, had me both laughing uncontrollably and sobbing quietly, biting my hand so that I didn't dare disrupt from the breathtaking performance I was witnessing. Elegantly and simply directed, with a minimum of stage business and technical aspects, this show rests squarely on the dynamic shoulders of Natalie Grove, and is all the better for it. For lack of a better word, I was gobsmacked. I can only hope this production is seen far and wide. Bravo to the producer, ... full review

It is no wonder that we the audience leapt to our feet at the end of Natalie Grove's "I'll Be With You In A Minute". Incredibly moving, riddled with depth and internal conflict. A beautifully accurate portrayal of the human condition as we struggle with change and the harsher elements of reality, while still finding those profound moments of joy and love within the fray. All the elements felt cohesive and supportive of the overall theme— the direction, sound, and production elements all working together to highlight the thoughtful writing and performance. Grounded, vulnerable, and wonderfully rooted in truth. Bravo!... full review
