An excellent concept that immediately drops us into the world, the story was tightly constructed and flowed well. Great use of wardrobe and physicality to establish character specificity.
What I didn't like
More variety within the transitions could offer an opportunity to share additional insights in support of the overall message. Perhaps some statistics/facts could appear to further drive home the show’s point.
My overall impression
From the opening moments, this show was laugh-out-loud funny while cutting to the truth of the underrepresented and misrepresented. Raymond Abel commands the stage and cleverly undercuts the facade of the Hollywood dream. His experiences are uniquely personal yet universal. In his character portrayals, I saw many familiar faces. The energy and commitment is palpable, creating a highly enjoyable audience experience.
