What I liked
The contrast between harsh lighting and dark staging created a clear visual mood, and the performer’s voice cut through with intensity and conviction. There were moments of raw energy that felt very real.
What I didn't like
Using a wired mic in such a small theatre felt like a misstep—it limited movement and occasionally pulled focus. A wireless setup might have helped. This didn’t ruin the show, but it was noticeable.
My overall impression
The performance aimed to capture the emotion of resistance through music and minimal staging. Some scenes had strong symbolic power, and the stripped-down design let the performer take center stage. At times, the abstract structure made it hard to connect emotionally, but the effort and intention were clear. It was bold—and worth seeing, especially in a setting like Fringe where riskier work can have a voice.
