What made Isabella’s approach to her story and subject matter unique was the moral compass she brought to her dysfunctional world. Her concern about the morality of infidelity, shaped by childhood experiences, created the vulnerability of her show, which was truly refreshing rather than judgmental.
What I didn't like
Perhaps the poster! I don’t think it captures the vibe of Isabella or the show.
My overall impression
Isabella’s show feels like standup comedy in style, but with a complete story, beginning, middle, and questions about her own future. The topic of infidelity could either fall into the trap of gratuitously sexual material, or judgemental and prude. Isabella fell into neither of those traps.
