What I liked

What set “So, My Dad Fucked The Nanny” apart for me was Isabella’s willingness to bare her soul. She doesn’t shy away from the painful or awkward parts of her story. Instead, she embraces them, presenting her “receipts” with a mix of humor and sincerity that’s both refreshing and brave. I found the performance as a whole to be authentic and grounded and wildly outrageous at the same time.

Isabella kept the audience engaged throughout and there was never a dull moment, with each segment flowing seamlessly into the next, keeping the show moving at a brisk pace and keeping the audience engaged. Whether she’s recounting a particularly absurd event or reflecting on the deeper implications of her family’s dynamics, I found Isabella’s narrative both coherent and compelling.

From the moment she stepped onto the stage, Isabella captivated the audience with her impeccable timing, magnetic stage presence, and a rich tapestry of hysterical asides, sharp jabs, witty ad-libs, and delightful crowd work.

What I didn't like

I thought the moment where Isabella has her epiphany toward the end of the show was going to call back to the promise she made to the audience at the top. There’s definitely room for a well crafted and clever joke there!

My overall impression

So, My Dad Fucked The Nanny is a candid slice of Isabella Charlton’s life – a true story that she narrates with both raw honesty and comedic flair that had the audience both laughing out loud and deeply moved. Isabella Charlton’s ability to navigate the delicate balance between humor and vulnerability is commendable, making the show not just entertaining but also profoundly relatable. Isabella Charlton is a an extremely talented storyteller and comedian.
