What I liked
I particularly liked her dialogue — Caroline’s metaphors and addition of real-life persons brought in a sense of familiarity and then twisted them on their heads to form this wonderfully comedic, yet tragic tale. I found myself empathizing with her character from the moment she came out on stage. The minimalist lighting and video perfectly carried the transitions between scenes. The audience participation singing and dancing at the end was a joy, too! It felt like the message of the play was not only then on stage, but also physically with the audience as we all left with a rose.
What I didn't like
If there was anything I would’ve loved a better view (I was in the back row), and for it to have been longer! An excellent performance.
My overall impression
Caroline’s commitment to the character and her projections onto her love interest (a mannequin) offered a humourous insight about finding love in LA that conveyed a feeling very real.
